Oh so much has happened in 5 years...

Currently I'm taking a genealogy class through SLCC.  Each student has to complete a project that involves documenting family history for future or past generations.  Since my kids will know how to use technology better than I do, I thought it would be a good idea to update my blog for them.

Here's a brief recap:
-Graduated from Rock Canyon High School in 2012
-While at Rock Canyon, I loved being involved in activities, sports, and dances.  I loved the people and teachers there, and created many memories.  I had the opportunity to be the Junior Class VP, and later the Student Body VP.  Unlike many LDS high schoolers, I LOVED early morning seminary (even if I was late every other day).
-In August of 2012, I left for Utah State University.
-While I was an Aggie, I attended leadership conferences and participated in several service clubs.  I loved going to the assisted living center near by and I made friends with so many of the cute elderly folks.  Also, through the bestbuddies I got to know a girl named "C" who has special needs.  Doing service is good for the soul!
-At USU, I loved rooming with my best friend and all of my other roommates were gems as well.  We made lots of memories in the frozen, Logan-winters.  With no curfew and no rules, everyday was an adventure.  Although we were all pretty good kids and stayed out of trouble.
-On November 30th, 2012 Macky, Skip, and I went on a date with three brothers: "D", "Jase", and "J".  That's when my love affair with Mr. Young (aka "J") began.  We didn't see each other for the next three days, but everyday after that we spent every second we could with each other.  At first, Mr. Young wasn't interested in me, however I knew one day I would be his wife.  I was a freshman and was already in the processes of putting my mission papers in to serve an LDS mission.  As fate would have it, he took the bait and fell in love with me.  Everything happened as God intended it to.
-On January 30th, 2013 I told Mr. Young I loved him.  Thankful he said it back.  The next night he told me he prayed and went to the LDS temple to find peace and answers from God.  He said he knew I was supposed to be his wife.  My heart almost burst, I was so shocked.  I told him about the sacred experience I the night and morning after our first date and that I also knew I was supposed to be his wife, and more than that, I wanted to be!
-On Thursday, April 18th, 2013 after many trails and tests of our faith, we got engaged.  First, Mr. Young put on a huge production for a "fake" proposal, which of course I completely fell for.  However, he had a plan to ask my "for real" to marry him after this "fake" proposal, because he knew I would least expect it.  What started as the worst day of my life ended as the best day of my life.
-On July 20th, 2013 what I thought was the best day of my life now looked like a rain drop in an endless ocean.  This was truly the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE and still is today.  I became Mrs. Young. I was sealed to the man of my dreams for time and all ETERNITY.
-Many great and not so great things have happened since that heavenly day (exactly 15 months and 2 weeks ago).  We have enjoyed so many wonderful times together as we have embarked on our ENDLESS journey of love and compassion together!
